About

Born in 1987 Doha, Qatar I grew up in the Middle East until relocating to the UK with my Mother to continue my education, studying a BA and MA at The University of Brighton.

My self-initiated projects explore the varying political, philosophical and social issues we face today, capturing images that present a truth, a reality, a human warmth, a theme recurrent in my work. I seek to witness and record intimate moments of human emotion, exposing a reality that is unshielded and therefore authentic.

Selected for The National Portrait Gallery’s Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2014 & 2016. Honorary Mention in Life Framer Awards, ‘Youthhood’ category 2016.

Awarded a development feature narrative grant from DFI with my project also being selected for QUMRA film festival 2017. Awarded the Gulf Summer University scholarship in 2016 to study at France’s National Film school, La Fémis.

Represented by East Wing.
